What Aspetax Adipharm and what it is used
Aspetax Adipharm is a medicine with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and action. It has anticoagulation effect and, due to inhibition of aggregation (clumping) of the platelets.
Aspetax Adipharm is indicated for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain associated with headache, toothache, muscle and joint pain, migraine, neuralgia; for colds or flu and fever; for secondary prevention in patients after myocardial infarction, unstable angina or transient disturbances in cerebral circulation; prevention of post-operative thrombosis.
2. What you should know before taking Aspetax Adipharm
Do not take Aspetax Adipharm in the following cases:
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to acetylsalicylic acid and / or any of the excipients;
if you have a history of hypersensitivity to salicylates or other NSAIDs with asthma or similar proceeding;
if you have a stomach ulcer or duodenum;
if you have increased bleeding or bruising;
if you have liver or kidney failure;
If you have severe, unstable heart failure;
if you are taking concomitant methotrexate at doses of 15 mg or more per week;
during the first and last trimester of pregnancy;
in children under 16 years of age.
Warnings and Precautions
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking Aspetax Adipharm.
if you are hypersensitive to other anti-inflammatory / anti-rheumatic drugs or other allergens;
if you are allergic (eg skin reactions, pruritus, urticaria) or have asthma, hay fever, nasal polyps, chronic infections of the respiratory system;
if you are currently being treated with anticoagulants;
if you have a stomach ulcer or duodenal ulcer or a history of gastrointestinal bleeding;
if you have impaired liver or kidney function;
In case of surgery (including minor surgery, such as tooth extraction), bleeding time may be prolonged;
if you are prone to gout. In low-dose acetylsalicylic acid reduces the excretion of uric acid in the urine, which can result in attack of gout;
Children and adolescents
Aspetax Adipharm should not be taken without consulting a doctor for children and adolescents who had chicken pox and other viral diseases and have a fever because of the risk of Reye's syndrome - a rare but very serious disease associated with the use of salicylates, with initial symptoms - nausea, vomiting, fever.
Other medicines and Aspetax Adipharm
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take other medicines.
Concomitant use of Aspetax Adipharm with other medicinal products can strengthen or weaken their effects.
Enhanced effects, resulting in an increased risk of side effects:
anticoagulants such. coumarin, heparin: - acetylsalicylic acid may increase the risk of bleeding if taken before thrombolytic therapy. Therefore, you need to look for symptoms of internal or external bleeding (eg, after trauma) if you are subjected to such treatment;
methotrexate (a drug for the treatment of cancer and certain rheumatic disorders);
non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and Aspetin Adipharm in doses of 3,0 g of acetylsalicylic acid daily, and more;
drugs containing cortisone or cortisone substances (with the exception of products which are applied topically or cortisone used for replacement therapy in Addison's disease) or alcohol consumption: increased risk of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding;
blood glucose lowering drugs (oral sulfonylurea agents or insulin);
digoxin (a medicine that increases the contraction of the heart muscle);
valproic acid, phenytoin (medicines to treat seizures);
platelet aggregation inhibitors (drugs that thin the blood and prevent blood clots easily) eg. ticlopidine - increased risk of bleeding.
Aspetax Adipharm weakens the effects of:
Diuretics (drugs that increase the excretion of urine) and Aspetax Adipharm doses of acetylsalicylic acid 3,0 g per day or more;
ACE inhibitors (for blood pressure lowering drugs) and doses Aspetax Adipharm 3,0 g of acetylsalicylic acid daily, and more;
medicines for gout, which enhance the excretion of uric acid (eg, probenecid, benzbromarone).
Aspetax Adipharm of food, beverages and alcohol
When treated with Aspetax Adipharm and alcohol intake increases the risk of bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Do not take the first and last trimester of pregnancy. Consult a doctor before taking the drug during the second three months of pregnancy.
Salicylates pass into breast milk. Lactating women may adopt Aspetax Adipharm only under medical supervision. In regular or high doses, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
Driving and using machines
Not affect your ability to drive and use machines.
Aspetax Adipharm contains lactose
This medicinal product contains lactose and does not apply to patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, Lapp-lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
3. How to take Aspetax Adipharm
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as you told your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. If you are not sure, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
The usual adult dose is 1-2 tablets 3-4 times daily, every 4-8 hours, but not more than 12 tablets.
For secondary prevention of patients with myocardial infarction and those with unstable angina or transient disturbances in cerebral circulation is 1 tablet daily.
The usual dose for prevention is 75-150 mg daily.
Children over 16 years:
Recommended tablet 1 as a single dose, 4 times a day, 4-5 tablets daily.
Tablets Aspetax Adipharm shall, whenever possible unchewed after meals with plenty of water.
Do not use in children under 16 years without medical advice!
If you take more dose Aspetax Adipharm
In overdose symptoms - dizziness, hearing disorders, stomach pain - stop taking immediately and seek medical advice.
If you forget to take Aspetax Adipharm
If you miss a dose, take the medicine at the next regular intake without increasing the dose.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines Aspetax Adipharm can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Below lists the adverse reactions by system organ class and MedDRA together with the corresponding frequency:
Very common: may affect more than 1 in 10 people;
Common: may affect up to 1 in 10 people;
Uncommon: may affect up to 1 in 100 people;
Rare: may affect up to 1 in 1000 people;
Very rare: may affect up to 1 in 10 000 people;
Not known (data can not be estimated).
Blood and lymphatic system disorders:
Common: increased risk of bleeding due to the effect of acetylsalicylic acid on platelet aggregation.
Immune system disorders:
Common: hypersensitivity reactions such as skin reactions;
Very rare bouts of shortness of breath, severe skin reactions, anaphylaxis, asthma, edema Quinke.
Nervous system disorders:
Rare: headache, dizziness and tinnitus, which are usually characteristic of overdose.
Rare: gastrointestinal disorders such as abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea, vomiting.
Gastrointestinal bleeding, which may cause iron deficiency anemia. Such bleeding is more common when the dosage is higher.
Very Rare: gastrointestinal ulceration and perforation.
Very rare: described Isolated cases of abnormal liver function.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders:
Rare: rash, hives, itching.

5. How to store Aspetax Adipharm
Do not store above 25 ° C.
Keep your tablets in the original container to protect from light and moisture.
Keep out of reach of children!
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the blister and carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What does Aspetax Adipharm
The active substance is acetylsalicylic acid. Each tablet contains 300 mg of aspirin (Acetylsalicylic acid).
