What type of medicine is Anopirin 100 mg (Pharmacotherapeutic group)?
Anopyrin 100 mg belongs to a group of antiplatelet agents (platelet aggregation inhibitors), that is, to medicinal products that inhibit aggregation of the type of blood cells (platelets) and thus prevent the formation of blood clots in the vessels (home of thrombi).
For what use (indications)?
Anopyrin 100 mg is a medicine that is used with a prescription at:
- Treatment of unstable angina petoris (chest pain caused by the breach of blood flow through the coronary arteries of the heart), in addition to standard therapy - treatment of acute myocardial infarction - as part of standard therapy;
- Prevention of myocardial infarction, post myocardial one (secondary prevention of myocardial infarction);
- After surgery or other interventions carried out on arteries (arteries after surgery or intervention, eg. Aorto-coronary bypass, percutaneous trans-luminal coronary angioplasty);
- Prevention of the development of the transient conditions of insufficient blood supply to the brain (transient ischemic attack), and brain infarction, in the presence of the warning signs (e.g., transient paralysis of the face or hand muscles, or transient loss of vision).
Warning:
Anopirin 100 mg is not suitable for the treatment of pain conditions.
When not using the product (contraindications)?
When should you not use Anopirin 100 mg?
Anopirin 100 mg should be used in:
- Known hypersensitivity to the active substance, ie Acetylsalicylic acid and other salicylates, or any of the other substances contained in tablets Anopirin 100 mg;
- Ulcers of the stomach or duodenum;
- Abnormal bleeding tendency (bleeding diathesis). The medicinal product is not intended for use by children under 18 years. The use of aspirin children are at risk of developing a very rare, life-threatening syndrome, Reye, as to affect the brain and liver.
This product should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy because it may cause serious harm to the fetus can result in delayed or prolonged parturition and prolong bleeding.

What should be considered during pregnancy and lactation?

During the second trimester (4-6 months) of pregnancy Anopirin 100 mg may be used only after consulting a doctor. In the first and third trimester (1-3 and 7-9 months) of pregnancy Anopirin 100 mg should not be used because its use may increase the risk of complications for both mother and fetus during labor.
The active ingredient, acetylsalicylic acid and its metabolites (derived from its metabolic change in the body) pass into breast milk in small amounts. Since no observed adverse effects on the infant daily doses not exceeding 150 mg, generally is not necessary to interrupt the feeding. If the mother using higher daily doses (more than 150 mg), breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Using Anopyrin 100 mg resulted in enhancement / promotion of:
- Effects of medicines that suppress blood clotting (eg coumarin derivatives and heparin);
- The risk of bleeding in the stomach or intestines during concomitant corticosteroids (medicines similar to hormones the adrenal cortex), or concomitant use of alcohol;
- The effect of certain drugs administered orally to reduce blood glucose and used in the treatment of diabetes (sulphonylureas);
- The desired and undesired effects of methotrexate (used in the treatment of psoriasis, certain diseases of the joints / RA / and some cancers);
- The amount (concentration) of some concomitantly used drugs (digoxin, barbiturates and lithium) in the blood;
- The desired and undesired effects of a pain-relieving or anti-inflammatory agents (non-steroidal analgesics / anti-inflammatory drugs) and, in general, all products used for the treatment of rheumatic diseases;
- The effect of some medicines used to treat infectious diseases (sulfonamides and combinations containing sulfonamides, eg. Cotrimoxazole / combination of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim);
- Effect of triiodothyronine (liothyronine) used for the treatment of underactive thyroid;
- The effects of valproic acid (used for the treatment of epilepsy).
 
Anopyrin 100 mg weakens the effect of:
- Some drugs causing increased urine output (so-called aldosterone antagonists / spironolactone and canrenoate / and so-called long-acting diuretics / eg. Furosemide /); .
- Antihypertensive agents (products to lower high blood pressure);
- Drugs that increase the excretion of uric acid in the body (e.g., probenecid, sulfinpyrazone).
Therefore Anopirin 100 mg should not be used in conjunction with any of the above medicines, unless this is expressly prescribed by your doctor.

Starting with a single dose of 120-200 mg, and then proceeding with the application of 50-100 mg daily.
How and when to take the tablets Anopirin 100 mg?
Tablets Anopirin 100 mg to be taken once a day, if possible, always at the same time of day.
The tablets should be taken after meals if possible with sufficient fluid. Avoid using them on an empty stomach.

Undesirable effects
