WHAT AMIGREN Adipharm AND WHAT IT IS USED
Use of the product should be done only under certain diagnosis of migraine.
Amigren Adipharm is a medicine for rapid relief of migraine attacks, with or without an aura (increased sensitivity to light, a feeling of nausea and vomiting). Amigren Adipharm is not indicated for the prophylaxis of migraine. Amigren Adipharm contain Sumatriptan. which belongs to the group of so-called 5-NT1D receptor agonists. It is assumed that the symptoms of migraine is caused by a temporary widening of the blood vessels in the brain. Sumatriptan exerts its action by narrowing the vessels.

2. BEFORE YOU TAKE AMIGREN Adipharm
Do not take Amigren Adipharm:
If you are allergic to sumatriptan or any of the excipients or to sulfa drugs;
If you had a heart attack or suffer from cardiovascular disease, or problems with blood circulation in the legs, causing pain like cramp during walking (a condition called peripheral vascular disease);
If you had a cerebrovascular accident or one with a less severe form, which lasted less than 24 hours (transient ischemic attack);
If you have severe liver problems;
If you have very high blood pressure or your blood pressure remains high despite taking medicines;
If you use or have recently used drugs containing ergotamine or its derivatives such as ergotamine and methysergide maleate targarat;
If you use or have recently used drugs monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs);
If you are under 18 years old;
If you are over 65 years old.
Take special care with Amigren Adipharm:
If the answer to any of these questions is "yes", tell your doctor before you start taking this medicine, as it may not be appropriate for you:
If you have symptoms of heart disease, such as shortness of breath unexpected, transient pain and tightness in the chest (which may be extended to the jaw or upper arm);
If you use a drug belonging to the group of selective inhibitors of the reverse transport of serotonin (SSRI, incl. Citalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine and sertraline), or inhibitors of the reverse transport of norepinephrine and serotonin (SNRI);
If you have impaired liver or kidney function;
If you have epilepsy or suffer from diseases that lower the threshold for the onset of seizures;
If you are allergic to sulfa drugs;
Taking herbal preparations containing St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum);
If it is assumed that there are risk factors for heart disease, for example. high level of cholesterol in the blood; diabetes mellitus; blood relatives with heart disease; you are overweight;
If you smoke regularly or you are a man over 40 or are postmenopausal woman;
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant;
If you are breastfeeding, your doctor may advise you to proceed with treatment, but 12 hours after taking Amigren Adipharm should not breastfeed.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, herbal medicines and natural healing products.
This medicine can influence the effect of other drugs, as other medicines can affect the way Amigren Adipharm.
This is particularly important where:
It contains, ergotamine or a derivative thereof, such as ergotamine tartrate and methysergide maleate. If you are taking such medications stop taking them at least 24 hours before taking Amigren Adipharm;
If taking drugs to treat depression, such as lithium, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), selective inhibitors of the reverse transport of serotonin (SSRI, including citalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine and sertraline), or inhibitors of the reverse transport serotonin and noradrenaline (SNRI);
Taking medicines for weight loss or to treat epilepsy.
In each case, your doctor will consider whether to take Amigren Adipharm.
If you take Amigren Adipharm too often, it may aggravate your headache. If this happens, your doctor may recommend that you discontinue Amigren Adipharm.

Taking Amigren Adipharm with food and drink
Food and drink do not affect the action of sumatriptan.

Pregnancy and lactation
Experience with the use of sumatriptan in pregnancy is limited.
Therefore, consult your doctor before attempting to use if you are pregnant.
Sumatriptan passes into breast milk. Should avoid breast-feeding up to 12 hours after taking the drug, and heal during this time milk is not used.

Driving and using machines
Amigren Adipharm can cause drowsiness. If you find drowsiness, avoid activities such as driving or operating machinery.

Important information about some of the ingredients of Amigren Adipharm
This product contains aspartame, occurring source of phenylalanine, which carries the risk of disability in patients with phenylketonuria.
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, please consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

3. HOW TO TAKE AMIGREN Adipharm
Always take Amigren Adipharm exactly as your doctor tells you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist!
Tablets should be taken immediately after the onset of symptoms of migraines, but they can be taken at any time during the migraine attack. Do not take the tablets when you have no symptoms, to prevent migraine attacks.
Amigren Adipharm should not be used in children under 18 years of age and the elderly (over 65 years).
The recommended dose for adults Amigren Adipharm at the onset of the first symptoms of migraine was 50 mg (1 tablet of 50 mg). If necessary, in some patients can be given a dose of 100 mg (2 tablets of 50 mg and 1 tablet of 100 mg).
If you feel relief after the first dose but the symptoms recur, you may take a second dose at least 2 hours after taking the first. However, do not take more than 300 mg per 24 hours (3 tablets of 100 mg, or 6 tablets of 50 mg).
The tablets should be swallowed whole with water. Do not chew the tablets.

If the first dose does not bring you any relief, do not take a second dose for the management of this attack, because it is unlikely the second dose help. You can accept Amigren Adipharm tablets in the next migraine attack.
You can also take any other medicines that usually relieve your pain if you are sure that they do not contain ergotamine or dihydroergotamine.
After taking Amigren Adipharm must wait at least six hours before taking medicines containing ergotamine or dihydroergotamine.
If you take medicines containing ergotamine or dihydroergotamine, you must wait at least 24 hours before taking Amigren Adipharm.
Always follow your doctor's instructions! Should not exceed the recommended dose of it.

If you take more dose Amigrei Adipharm 50 mg tablets
If you take more than prescribed, seek immediate medical assistance (go to the nearest health facility or center for emergency medical assistance).
It is important to stick to the prescribed dose. Immediately consult a doctor if you take a larger dose than the maximum daily dose (300 mg).

If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Amigren Adipharm can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Some of these symptoms may be manifestations of the disease migraine.

Allergic reactions:
Tell your doctor immediately if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects:
Severe skin reactions such as skin rash (red spots or hives), swelling of the face, eyelids, mouth or lips;
Sudden wheezing, difficulty swallowing, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, rapid heart beat, tightness or chest pain, collapse.
Stop taking Amigren Adipharm if you experience any of the above symptoms.

Common side effects (likely to occur in between 1 in 10 and 1 in every 100 patients taking the drug):
transient flushing, dizziness, weakness, fatigue and drowsiness (it is important for people who are driving or operating machinery);
transient increase in blood pressure shortly after taking the drug;
nausea or vomiting (when not experiencing a migraine attack);
shortness of breath;
unusual feeling of reduced sensitivity or tingling, feeling hot or cold, pain, heaviness or tightness in any part of the body including the chest and throat. If these effects persist or worsen (especially chest pain or heart area, spreading to the arms), tell your doctor immediately, as have been rare cases of such adverse reactions due to myocardial infarction.
Very rare side effects (likely to occur in less than 1 in 10,000 patients):
seizures (usually in patients with epilepsy);
tremors and uncontrollable movements;
stiffness of the neck;
visual disturbances, including flash, double vision and reduced vision;
Cases of permanent defects in vision;
lowering blood pressure, leading to a feeling of light-headedness, especially upon standing;
slow or fast heartbeat, palpitations (rapid heart beat), heart rhythm disturbances;
inflammation of the colon may present with lower abdominal pain and / or bloody diarrhea;
Raynaud's phenomenon - pale or bluish skin and / or pain in the fingers, toes, ears, nose or jaw due to cold or stress;
in case you have your blood tests to monitor liver function, please tell your doctor, as their results may be affected by the drug.
If you notice any of the above side effects, stop taking Amigren Adipharm tablets, and as quickly as possible inform your doctor.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

5. HOW TO STORE AMIGREN Adipharm
No special storage conditions.
Keep out of reach of children!
Do not use Amigren Adipharm after the expiry date stated on the pack. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not use Amigren Adipharm if you notice that the packaging is damaged.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

6. FURTHER INFORMATION
What does Amigren Adipharm
The active substance is sumatriptan. Each tablet contains 50 mg or 100 mg of sumatriptan (sumatriptan) in the form of the succinate salt (sumatriptan succinate).
The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, mint flavor, talc, aspartame (E951), povidone and magnesium stearate.
